The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The influential game designer passed away following his automobile collided and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
